About UltraCoach
UltraCoach is an AI-powered training analysis platform built for serious runners — particularly ultrarunners who want to understand their training data beyond what Garmin or Strava can tell them.
Every run answers three questions: why did it feel the way it did, how does it compare to your personal baseline, and what should you do differently next time.
Built by a competitive ultrarunner for competitive ultrarunners. The goal is not another fitness dashboard — it's a coaching tool that uses your own historical data to give you genuinely personalised insight.
What it does
- Parses Garmin FIT files and extracts 20+ performance metrics including running dynamics
- Builds a personal baseline from your last 12 months of activity, recency-weighted, split across road/trail/ultra
- Generates AI coaching reports comparing each run to your baseline with weather context
- Daily AI coaching guidance grounded in your real training load (CTL/ATL/TSB), with a focused chat to discuss it
- Event Planner: GPX-based race pacing with grade-adjusted pace, checkpoint cutoffs, and an AI-written race plan
- LiveTrack: share a no-login link so your crew sees your live GPS position and an elevation-aware ETA on race day
- Tracks nutrition and hydration linked to each activity
- Detects cross-run patterns and training load trends
- A mobile app for logging activities, AI coach chat, and a race-day reference view on the go
Technology
AI reports are generated by a large language model (the specific provider changes as better options become available). Weather data comes from Open-Meteo. Activity parsing uses the FIT protocol directly — no Garmin API, no third-party sync required.
Status
UltraCoach is currently in active development. It is free to use while in beta. Features are added regularly.
